An apology to my subscribers

by Chris McGill on April 13, 2010

Dear Subscribers…I am sorry. I apologize for not sending regular job and hiring tips for the past three months. There are over a 1000 of you and I have received dozens of emails asking if I am going to continue writing. The good news is, I will continue writing and being a resource for you on career/hiring advise.

I have a variety of topics that will be discussed and you will be receiving your weekly emails on a consistent basis. You can look forward to covering topics such as:

Top 10 Resume lies to look out for
What are you worth in the job market?
Should HR get out of the talent game?
How does your candidate experience rate?
Easy way to increase your Linkedin connections
Tips for social media reference checks
Does your company have generational leadership gaps?
Tips on how to get the most out of a telephone interview
Is corporate recruiting doomed?
8 retention strategies
How to use Google to find a job
Are you recruiting a role or a person?

P.S. As some of you know, my wife and I had our first baby. His name is Colton Robert McGill and he was born on January 8, 2010. He was 9lbs 4 ounces, 21 3/4″ and getting bigger and bigger everyday! Although he can be a handful, we could not be happier. If we are not friends on Facebook and you would like to see more pics of our new family, send me an invite.  Here are a few pics of my family we took over Easter… enjoy.

P.P.S. If you have any tips on raising a son, post them below. My wife and I have a lot to learn. :)

Thanks San Antonio!

LOVE them, LAUGH with them, HOLD them - because they grow up way too fast. A proud mother of 2 teenage sons.

Advise I learned years ago Chris...

First and foremost be extremely extra nice to your wife, after all she gets up at night. Second, never leave the diaper off for more than needed if you catch my drift. And third, love them with all your heart and your family will bring a whole other realm to your life.

    Enjoy and Congratulations
